Practi is building the fintech for UK healthcare. At a time when the healthcare landscape in the UK is changing rapidly, we're building solutions for both healthcare professionals, and patients, that improve access to healthcare for everyone.

Practi is a corporate venture, proudly part of the Simplyhealth group (a purpose-driven B Corp), which means we have all the financial stability and industry expertise of an established player, with the agility and autonomy of a start-up.

We're passionate about solving these issues for everyone, and whilst we've started in the Dental sector, we have big plans to expand across multiple healthcare verticals. We’ve got a world-class leadership team onboard, led by a successful serial entrepreneur, and we're actively building out the team as we begin to scale - come join us!

As we prepare to scale, we are seeking a People Operations Partner who will help to mature our People practices during this exciting and critical stage of development. You will be full-time embedded with the Practi team, with a dotted line to the CEO of Practi, and a hard-reporting line to the head of HR partnering for group.

Working closely with the senior team at Practi, this is a high-impact role focused on building and systematising our people processes, bringing best practice from industry, while ensuring our culture remains strong. This will require the role holder to build a rapid and deep understanding of the cultures and working practices of both Simplyhealth and Practi and to drive a high degree of consistency in the People processes and ways of working (ie. Practi adopting SH policies) and making recommendations where these do not work and owning and driving and agreeing policy variations.

You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Managing employer branding and recruitment marketing, ensuring Practi is positioned as a great place to work.
  • Owning and improving the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring we attract and retain top talent, with a specific focus across sales, marketing, and engineering.
  • Partnering with hiring managers to define role requirements, design hiring processes, and implement best-in-class recruitment practices.
  • Working with the central L&D team, supporting leadership development, particularly for managers stepping into bigger roles.
  • Ensuring Practi’s culture scales effectively, balancing high performance with a supportive environment.
  • Leading employee engagement initiatives, including survey analysis and recommendations, supporting leaders to build and retain highly engaged teams.
  • Maintaining and improving our focus and passion for colleague wellbeing, working with the Group team to understand pressure points to address and areas of strength on which to build.
  • Providing advice and guidance on employment and workplace legislation that balances both commercial and people impacts
  • Ensuring compliance with employment law and people policies
  • To drive DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) initiatives to maintain and improve our inclusive and diverse culture.
  • Work with the Group Reward team to develop competitive compensation, benefits, and incentive structures that align with our growth.
  • Tapping into Group infrastructure, introduce lightweight and effective People processes, ensuring we scale without unnecessary bureaucracy.

Requirements

You should have:

  • Experience in Talent Attraction in a fast-scaling tech start up would be ideal. Initially a good deal of time will be invested in bringing the right talent into the business as we scale using a direct recruitment model.
  • Generalist Business Partnering and ER experience, ideally with experience of working as part of a smaller business within a larger group.
  • Strong knowledge of performance management, and people operations best practices.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive approach, with a bias towards action and a keen ability to problem-solve.
  • A deep passion for building great teams and cultures.
  • Strong hiring experience, especially in sales and engineering.
  • Knowledge of compensation, benefits, and People analytics.

Benefits

Salary: £65k-£75k p.a. (Dependent on experience)

Other Benefits

  • Up to 10% Pension
  • 7.5% Annual Bonus (Discretionary)
  • Medical Healthplan Provision
  • 4x Life Insurance
  • 28 Days Holiday (36 days inc. Bank Holidays with opportunity to buy an additional 7 days annual leave)

Working Pattern: 3-4 days a week in the office

Location: Zone 1 (WorkingFrom Hoxton, 32 Blackfriars Road, Southwark, SE1 8DP)

The importance we place on Equity, Diversity & Inclusion

Building a company to serve clinicians and patients in healthcare means we need to maximise our diversity of thought, so we can bring the best solutions to bear on such important problems. We also know that diversity of thought is a product of diverse talent, which manifests itself in many ways.

Gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, neurodiversity and socio-economic background are all areas that we spend time thinking about and we encourage applications from typically under-represented groups.

Over 35% of our colleagues are women, and 45% are people of colour - whilst these only represent two dimensions of diversity, we are consistently looking for new ways to find, attract and retain incredible colleagues.

Our Values at Practi

Courage: Choosing bravery over comfort, we stand firm in our values and tackle difficult tasks head-on. We lean into challenges, knowing that progress require resilience and bold action.

Trust: We count on each other by fostering an environment of transparency, integrity, and accountability. With ownership of our actions, we create a foundation of reliability, allowing us to operate with autonomy while supporting each other when needed.

Ambition: Unapologetically bold, we push ourselves to achieve more, constantly striving for excellence. We drive progress with pace, always questioning the status quo and finding new ways to make a meaningful impact for both our team and our customers.

Play: We believe in taking our work, but not ourselves, seriously. By bringing, levity, and joy to our day-to-day, we create a positive atmosphere where we can do our best work, celebrate successes, and build meaningful relationships with each other.

Humanity: Empathy, compassion, and inclusion are at the heart of how we operate. We bring our whole selves to work, creating a supportive and safe environment where everyone feels valued. By practicing active listening and kindness, we strengthen our team and our culture.

Curiosity: We are committed to continuous learning, always seeking new knowledge and growth opportunities. With humility, we approach each day with a hunger to improve, knowing that small, consistent steps lead to transformative results over time.
