Job summary

SGN is seeking a Senior People Partner to shape and execute People strategy across Scotland Operations, including workforce planning, employee relations, and change management. You will partner with senior leaders to drive engagement, performance, and leadership capability, while guiding union relationships and talent initiatives.

Qualifications

  • CIPD Level 7 qualification, or equivalent professional experience in a senior HR/People partnering role
  • Strong experience influencing senior stakeholders and developing leadership capability across a range of management levels
  • In-depth knowledge of employment law, employee relations, HR best practice, and operational people management
  • Proven experience in talent management, succession planning, workforce planning, and organisational change
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with Trade Union representatives and other key stakeholders
  • Commercially minded, analytical, and adaptable, with a proactive approach to solving problems and driving positive change

Edinburgh, Glasgow, Paisley, Dundee, Aberdeen |£80,000 - £87,000 (dependent on qualifications and experience)

We seek a strategic Senior People Partner to drive performance, engagement, and organisational effectiveness. The SPP will guide people strategy, employee relations, trade union relationships and talent management, building strong relationships to support business goals.

Reporting into the Operations People Director, this role also involves supporting HR improvements and shaping the future direction of the People team during its transformation.

We deliver safety, warmth, and comfort to homes and businesses across the community. Whether you're supporting from the office or working on the front line, every role plays a part.

This role will require travel and overnight stays to meet business needs, with occasional travel to our Southern England sites
