At Bupa Cromwell Hospital, we are dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services with a focus on people. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior People Business Partner with expertise in M&A or Growth environments to join our People team. This role is crucial in shaping the future of our hospital and diagnostic centres as we embark on an exciting expansion journey. If you have a passion for driving meaningful change, delivering outstanding people outcomes, and successfully managing projects from inception to completion, this position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the healthcare sector.

About the Role

As a Senior People Business Partner, you will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders across the Hospital and Diagnostic Centres. You will lead the implementation of various people plans and projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives to drive sustainable performance, regulatory excellence, and a positive workplace culture. Additionally, you will play a significant role in major change programs, workforce planning, and organisational development programs.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Collaborate with A.HRD to develop and implement project plans aligned with our growth agenda and the broader BUPA people strategy.
  • Lead and support large-scale people initiatives, business integration, and transformation programs as directed by A.HRD, and identify new projects that respond to the dynamic growth environment.
  • Serve as a data ambassador—utilising key data and dashboards to analyse trends and present meaningful information that supports informed decision-making.
  • Serve as an advisor to senior leaders, providing support on talent management, project delivery, succession planning, and workforce planning.
  • Partner with Business Partnering team on key projects, ensuring timely execution, oversight, and adherence to schedules.
  • Act as a point of contact and consultant for the Partnering team.
  • Work alongside the Learning Business Partner to design and deliver organisational development programs, Training Needs Analysis, and identify additional learning initiatives.
  • Respond quickly to business needs and initiate relevant projects or programs accordingly.
  • Lead and support major people initiatives and transformation programs.
  • Integrate people risk and conduct frameworks to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Advise key resource groups or networks within the hospital and diagnostic group.
  • Collaborate closely with specialist HR teams to provide high-impact people services.
  • Promote employee engagement and wellbeing throughout the organisation.
  • Drive performance management, talent development, and leadership growth.
  • Attendance at key group Bupa project meetings and calls and to communicate key updates with ownership of any actions / action allocation to the Cromwell people team
  • Deputise and cover for AHRD where required.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in a senior HR business partnering role within a regulated, complex environment.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead people strategies across diverse teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Cromwell people team, deploy skill and resource where needed to people projects, and proven effective leadership and management of HR professionals
  • Flexibility – the ability to quickly adapt to change, manage multiple projects and programmes of work and priorities
  • Responsive to business needs, change, and able to proactively initiate new programs of work when required.
  • Enthusiasm for data, analysis, and using data to drive decision making.
  • Expertise across the full HR spectrum, including talent management, rewards, engagement, inclusion, and organisational design.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Commercially aware with a customer-focused mindset and strong judgement.
  • CIPD qualified (or equivalent) with a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
