Job summary

Gallagher Benefit Services in the United Kingdom is seeking a Principal Pensions Administrator to join our pensions team. You will manage a portfolio of occupational schemes (DB, DC, Hybrid), ensuring accurate calculations, timely processing, and clear communications with clients and scheme members.

You’ll lead and train junior pensions administrators, liaise with clients during meetings, and support the Client Executive team on new business pitches.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience administering DB, DC, or Hybrid pension schemes.
• Pension CPC qualification or study in progress.
• Experience mentoring team members.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and oversee a portfolio of pension schemes, ensuring tasks and calculations are accurate and completed on time.
• Allocate cases and review both automated and manual calculations.
• Draft and review correspondence, reports, and manage pensioner payrolls.
• Provide guidance and training to pensions administrators and seniors.
• Support the Client Executive team and attend client meetings or pitches as required.
• Liaise with scheme members via email, phone, and letters with clear communication.
• Manage cashflows, investments, disinvestments, and invoices.
• Collaborate with team members and external supporting teams.
