Willis Towers Watson plc in the United Kingdom seeks a Senior Pensions Data Specialist to deliver high-quality data services across Defined Benefit pensions, including GMP rectification and data audits. You will guide data strategies, review work, and mentor junior colleagues while liaising with clients to resolve complex data issues.

The role offers flexible hybrid working (remote/in-office) with sessions in multiple UK offices, and a focus on delivering value to clients and pension scheme

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering multiple projects to deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of UK DB Pension arrangements and pension data audits.
• Experience in pension data cleansing and rectifications.
• Ability to communicate complex issues to a broad audience.
• Experience with pension administration systems.
• Familiarity with GMP rectification and equalisation a plus.

Job description

A great opportunity to join our pensions data solutions team comprising data experts from different backgrounds, who provide leading edge insights where deficiencies in member data quality may impede our client's ability to achieve their strategic goal and journey plans.

We are recruiting experienced Defined Benefit pensions professionals to join us as a Senior Pensions Data Specialist to deliver data services to our clients, which include data and benefit audits, preparing data strategies and plans, undertaking various pension rectifications including GMP rectification and equalisation.

While we continue to help clients meet their GMP objectives, the data challenges our clients face are becoming more diverse which gives you a great chance to work in a team across a broad spectrum of areas and add tangible value to clients and pension scheme members.

You will create and customise bulk tools and solutions, directing and reviewing work done by others and taking responsibility for successful delivery of the work. You will be comfortable communicating technical issues in a clear way to a broad audience. It is expected that you will be highly numerate with good analytical skills and be used to working with modern software and ideally have a keen interest in programming and developing technological solutions for the benefit of our clients. In addition, we expect good organisation skills and core project management behaviours to complement your technical expertise. Some experience in pension rectification exercises is advantageous as well as more advanced data and benefit auditing and cleansing of Pension data.

• A proven track record in delivering multiple projects to set deadlines
• Strong knowledge and experience of UK DB Pension arrangements, including experience of auditing pension scheme data, cleansing pension scheme data and data rectifications

• A strong understanding of manual benefit calculations and processes

• Experienced in creating solutions and customising software to correct data or carry out pension scheme calculations

• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel

• A clear, concise and confident communicator of complex or technical issues relating to UK pensions and member data to a broad audience

• Experience in developing close working relationships with clients and/or external third parties, or suppliers
