Job description

A great opportunity to join our pensions data solutions team comprising data experts from different backgrounds, who provide leading edge insights where deficiencies in member data quality may impede our client’s ability to achieve their strategic goal and journey plans.

We are recruiting experienced Defined Benefit pensions professionals to join us as a Senior Pensions Data Specialist to deliver data services to our clients, which include data and benefit audits, preparing data strategies and plans, undertaking various pension rectifications including GMP rectification and equalisation.

While we continue to help clients meet their GMP objectives, the data challenges our clients face are becoming more diverse, giving you a great chance to work across a broad spectrum of areas and add tangible value to clients and pension scheme members.

The Role: You will create and customise bulk tools and solutions, direct and review work done by others, and take responsibility for the successful delivery of the work. You should be able to communicate technical issues clearly to a broad audience. It is expected that you will be highly numerate with good analytical skills, experienced with modern software, and have a keen interest in programming and developing technological solutions for our clients. Good organisation skills and core project management behaviours are also expected. Experience in pension rectification exercises, data auditing, and cleansing is advantageous.

Our work style: At WTW, we trust you to know your work and the environment you need to succeed. Most colleagues work in a hybrid style, combining remote, in-person, and in-office interactions depending on team, role, and client needs. We offer flexible working opportunities and part-time options to support an inclusive and diverse workforce.

Office location: This role can be based in London, Reigate, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, or Edinburgh.

Join us: Be part of a dynamic team with a defined career path, on-the-job training, and mentorship to grow your career with us!

The Requirements:

  • A proven track record in delivering multiple projects on time
  • Strong knowledge of UK DB Pension arrangements, including data auditing, cleansing, and rectification
  • Understanding of manual benefit calculations and processes
  • Experience creating solutions and customising software for data correction and pension calculations
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
  • Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to a broad audience
  • Experience working with clients, external third parties, or suppliers
  • Delegation skills and a desire to coach and mentor junior staff
  • Commitment to high-quality service
  • Ability to work independently and in teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Strategic thinking and solution proposing skills
  • Ability to support project delivery within a team
  • Inquisitive, proactive attitude with the ability to work with ambiguity
  • Experience with pension administration systems

At WTW, we value diversity and inclusion. We are an equal opportunity employer and committed to creating an inclusive environment. If you need accommodations during the application or onboarding process, please contact candidate.helpdesk@willistowerswatson.com
