Location: Remote

Salary: up to £44,000 plus bonus and benefits

Contract Type: Permanent

Hydrogen Group is supporting our pensions client in their search for experienced Senior Pensions Data Management professionals to join the Scheme Events team. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in extracting, analysing, cleansing, and processing pensions data across complex Defined Benefit (DB) schemes—ensuring high-quality delivery for key projects and scheme events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of assigned scheme events and data projects, ensuring timeliness and accuracy
• Conduct complex data manipulation and bulk calculations using advanced Excel functions
• Build and maintain strong client and internal stakeholder relationships
• Review and quality-check the work of Pensions Data Technicians
• Identify, manage, and report data risks and breaches
• Provide technical support, audit trails, testing, and regular updates to Project Managers
• Act as a subject matter expert for internal and client-led change programmes
• Proven experience with Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes
• Strong technical pensions knowledge and calculation expertise
• Advanced Excel skills including:

• Formulas, including nested IFs and VLOOKUPs
• Pivot tables, data filters, sorting and grouping
• Data transformation, import/export of text files
• Building and enhancing templates/macros
• Experience working with bulk data and management systems

High attention to detail and commitment to quality

Confident working in a remote/home-based environment

Comfortable taking Excel skills test (non-pass/fail – used to assess support needs)

Client-facing or coaching experience

Degree or A-levels in Maths, or equivalent work-based analytical experience
