Salary: up to £44,000 plus bonus and benefits

Hydrogen Group is supporting our pensions client in their search for experienced Senior Pensions Data Management professionals to join the Scheme Events team. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in extracting, analysing, cleansing, and processing pensions data across complex Defined Benefit (DB) schemes—ensuring high-quality delivery for key projects and scheme events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of assigned scheme events and data projects, ensuring timeliness and accuracy
• Conduct complex data manipulation and bulk calculations using advanced Excel functions
• Build and maintain strong client and internal stakeholder relationships
• Review and quality-check the work of Pensions Data Technicians
• Identify, manage, and report data risks and breaches
• Provide technical support, audit trails, testing, and regular updates to Project Managers
• Act as a subject matter expert for internal and client-led change programmes
• Proven experience with Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes
• Strong technical pensions knowledge and calculation expertise
• Advanced Excel skills including formulas (nested IFs, VLOOKUPs), pivot tables, data filters, sorting, grouping, data transformation, import/export of text files, and macro building
• Experience working with bulk data and management systems

• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Comfortable working in a remote/home-based environment
• Willing to take an Excel skills test (non-pass/fail, support assessment)
• Client-facing or coaching experience
• Degree or A-levels in Maths, or equivalent analytical experience
