Job summary

Southern Hospice Group is seeking an experienced children's nurse to lead palliative care in community and in-hospital settings. You will work with the Chestnut Tree House and wider MDT to deliver high-quality, holistic care for children and their families, ensuring governance and best practice are followed.

You will be based in the Sussex area, providing 24/7 support when required, and you will engage in teaching, safeguarding, and ongoing professional development as part of the integrated care

Qualifications

• Registered Children's Nurse required.
• Mentorship qualification (ENB 998 or equivalent).
• Evidence of continued professional development (CPD).
• Willingness to undertake Advanced Communications Skills Training.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership for palliative care across care settings.
• Collaborate with CTH care teams and MDT to ensure seamless care.
• Maintain family-centered care compliant with governance and policies.
• Support CYPs and families through community visits and hospital or hospice teams.
• Ensure documentation adheres to policies and standards.
• Participate in ongoing development of community care services.
