Job summary

ALTEN is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support the production of high-reliability electronic products in its Telford site. You will optimise PCB manufacturing processes, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to advanced engineering solutions in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, a degree in engineering, willingness to obtain BPSS clearance, and the ability to work on-site three days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent military background
• Experience in PCB manufacturing and electronics assembly
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma knowledge considered a plus
• Willingness to undergo BPSS security clearance

Responsibilities

• Support and optimise PCB manufacturing processes across production operations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and yield.
• Investigate manufacturing issues and lead root cause analysis activities.
• Collaborate with design, quality, and production teams to optimise manufacturability.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, procedures, and work instructions.
• Support new product introduction activities and process validation exercises.
