Job summary

ALTEN is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to optimise PCB production processes, drive process improvements and support new product introductions in a fast-paced environment in Telford.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, on-site work 3 days per week, and eligibility for BPSS security clearance. You will collaborate with design, quality and production teams to deliver high-reliability electronics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent military experience.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing and IPC standards is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve PCB manufacturing processes across production operations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and yield.
• Investigate manufacturing issues and lead root cause analysis activities.
• Collaborate with design, quality, and production teams to optimise manufacturability.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, procedures, and work instructions.
• Support new product introduction activities and process validation exercises.

Job Description

Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer looking to play a key role in the production of complex, high-reliability electronic products? You will support the optimisation of manufacturing processes, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to the delivery of advanced engineering solutions within a fast-paced production environment.

Location: Telford
On-site Requirement: 3 Days Per Week
Seniority: 5+ Years Experience
Security Clearance: Candidates must be willing and eligible to obtain BPSS clearance.
