Job summary

Michael Page Finance is seeking a Senior Payroller, Bookkeeper and VAT Controller for a Newton Abbot based accountancy practice. You will deliver weekly, monthly and yearly payroll, handle bookkeeping up to extended trial balance, and prepare/review VAT returns for a varied client base including sole traders, partnerships and SMEs.

The role offers flexible working patterns around three to four days, with a mix of remote/home working and office presence.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering payroll services to varied clients, including bookkeeping, VAT, CIS and management accounts in an accountancy practice.
• 2–3+ years in payroll and related services in an accounting firm environment.
• Flexible working options available (full-time or part-time).

Responsibilities

• Deliver weekly, monthly and yearly payroll services.
• Provide bookkeeping up to extended trial balance.
• Prepare/review VAT returns and handle client VAT queries.
