Michael Page Finance is working with a Newton Abbot accountancy practice to recruit a Senior Bookkeeper and Payroller. The candidate will manage payroll and bookkeeping up to extended trial balance, while preparing VAT returns and assisting with payroll services for a varied client base.

An opportunity has arisen based in Newton Abbot to join a growing firm of accountants as Senior Bookkeeper and Payroller, working on a mixed and varied client base focused providing bookkeeping & payroll services up to extended trial balance, preparing VAT returns and providing payroll services . Full time, or part time 4 days a week and flexible hour working arrangements can be explored to suit around the right person.

Client Details

A highly successful and positively growing accountancy practice based in Newton Abbot. The business has been undergoing continued and sustained positive growth through referrals and new business generation. Part time or full time working arrangements can work from four days, or full time. A mix of remote/home to office working will also be on offer.

Description

Joining as Senior Bookkeeper and Payroller you will take responsibility for the delivery of payroll and bookkeeping services, up to extended trial balance, preparation of VAT returns, payroll service provision and involvement with wider services assisting on year end accounts preparation, dependent on the background and experience of the right professional. You will carve a key, support role here to managers and directors with increasing responsibility, client contact and development on offer with the role and firm.

Profile

You may be an AAT qualified technician, or you may have developed your career through experience to date only and be looking to build further on this, in a hands on role. Most importantly, as a key requirement to be considered for this role and firm, you will have developed experience across bookkeeping, preparing vat returns, CIS, payroll, accounts prep etc within an accountancy practice firm of any size. You will have at least three years or more experience, developed across any of these areas to around the Senior Bookkeeper / Payroll / VAT assistant accountant levels.

Job Offer

£26,000 - £35,000 dependent on the background and experience of the right professional, plus benefits.
