Job summary

Michael Page Finance in Wells is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper and Outsourced Accountant for a contract of up to 12 months, with on-site work one day a week and flexible hours to suit around the right person.

You will handle bookkeeping to extended trial balance, VAT returns, and year‑end accounts for a mixed client base, with remote/home to office options and potential for part‑time or full‑time arrangements.

Qualifications

• ACCA/ACA or AAT qualified, or strong practice experience.
• 3–4+ years in bookkeeping, VAT, CIS, payroll, and accounts prep.
• Experience preparing year-end accounts for clients in a practice environment.

Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping to extended trial balance and VAT returns.
• Prepare year-end accounts for multiple clients.
• Work on-site one day per week as outsourced accountant.
• Support managers and directors with delivery and client service.
