Job summary

JGA Recruitment Group Ltd is partnering with a leading professional services firm to hire a Senior Payroll Advisor on an 18-month fixed-term contract in Romford, Essex. The role covers end-to-end payroll for a varied client portfolio with hybrid working (one day in the office per week) and a strong emphasis on compliance and accuracy.

You will manage weekly, monthly and annual payrolls, handle complex pay arrangements, advise clients on payroll legislation, and support system implementations

Qualifications

• Recent, hands-on client payroll experience within a bureau or professional services environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, pensions and compliance.
• Experience managing multiple payrolls and resolving complex queries.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.
• CIPP qualification or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Managing end-to-end weekly, monthly and annual payrolls across a varied client portfolio.
• Handling complex pay arrangements, including benefits, share schemes, pensions and international assignments.
• Overseeing HMRC submissions, statutory reporting, compliance and year-end processes.
• Advising clients on payroll legislation, holiday pay and statutory payments.
• Supporting system implementations, client onboarding and mentoring junior colleagues.

Senior Payroll Advisor | £35,000-£40,000 | 18-Month FTC Romford, Essex | 4 days working from home

I'm working with a leading professional services firm looking for an experienced Senior Payroll Advisor to join its established payroll team on a six-month fixed-term contract.

What will you be doing?
