Job summary

W Talent is recruiting a Payroll Manager for a boutique accountancy practice based in Carlisle/ Workington area. You will own the end-to-end payroll function for a diverse client portfolio, ensuring accurate, timely processing and full HMRC compliance.

You will act as the primary payroll contact for clients and employees, support payroll system improvements, and contribute to service development within the practice.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing end-to-end payroll in a multi-client environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation including NI, tax and pensions.
• Experience with HMRC RTI submissions and pension auto-enrolment.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a portfolio of clients.
• Handle starters, leavers, changes, tax code updates and amendments.
• Produce payroll reports and MI for clients; support billing.
