Job summary

MHR is seeking a Payroll Lead to develop leadership and operational expertise within a fast-paced payroll environment. You will plan and allocate daily activities, monitor schedules, and ensure all payroll tasks are completed accurately and on time.

The role focuses on stakeholder engagement, service improvements, and alignment with SLAs. You will strengthen technical payroll knowledge, stay updated with legislation, maintain GDPR standards, and coach the team to address performance issues.

Responsibilities

• Sign off on payrolls and oversee BACS transmissions with accuracy.
• Provide coaching and escalation support to Payroll Analysts and resolve complex queries.
• Onboard new starters and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure consistent service.
• Drive continuous improvement in service delivery and compliance with GDPR standards.
