Job summary

DK Recruitment, in Newton Abbot, is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join a busy payroll function. You will own a varied client portfolio and deliver high-quality payroll bureau services end-to-end.

The role requires strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, HMRC requirements, auto-enrolment and pension submissions, with excellent client relationship skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a payroll bureau or processing multiple client payrolls.
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, HMRC requirements and statutory payments.
• Experience with workplace pensions and auto-enrolment.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple payroll deadlines.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills.
• Experience using payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
• CIPP qualification or equivalent payroll experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Processing end-to-end payrolls for a varied portfolio of clients.
• Managing weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly and monthly payrolls.
• Processing starters, leavers, statutory payments and payroll amendments.
• Completing FPS, EPS and RTI submissions to HMRC.
• Administering workplace pensions, auto-enrolment and pension submissions.
• Producing year-end payroll documentation, including P60s and P11Ds where required.
• Resolving client payroll queries professionally and efficiently.
• Keeping up to date with payroll legislation and ensuring ongoing compliance.
• Building strong relationships with clients and providing an excellent payroll bureau service.
• Supporting continuous improvements to payroll processes and systems.
