Job Description:

Our client based in New Milton has an immediate requirement for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their busy team on a 6-month fixed term contract.

Job role: Senior Payroll Administrator

Location: Hybrid New Milton Office

Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week

Contract Type: 6 Months Fixed Term Contract

Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum (pro rata)

As Senior Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely delivery of expenses and weekly pay runs. Reporting to the Payroll and Systems Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the monthly payroll process (processing Starters, Leavers, Job Changes)
  • Completing auditing checklists
  • Manual payroll data entry (e.g., maternity/paternity, court orders)
  • Supporting with Accounts Queries
  • Supporting the overpayments process
  • Managing queries received in the payroll inbox

Applicants should demonstrate:

  • Education to A Level/NVQ Level 3 or 4 standard or equivalent (including English & Math)
  • Previous payroll experience preferred but not essential
  • Flexibility and logical approach to issues and processing
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Itrent experience or similar HR/Payroll software
