Job summary

Transak is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (SDE 3) to own high-throughput payment microservices end-to-end. You will design, build, and operate Node.js services across currencies and jurisdictions, collaborating with Risk, Compliance, and banking partners.

The role emphasizes architecture decisions, mentoring engineers, and staying hands-on in code daily within a PCI-DSS-adjacent, regulated environment, on the Fiat/Payments stack.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Experience in fintech/payments or banking infrastructure preferred
• Strong backend, distributed systems background
• Excellent written communication and design-docs skills

Responsibilities

• Own payment microservices end-to-end: design, build, deploy and operate Node.js services.
• Drive integrations with banking and card partners; manage risk and KYC touchpoints.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines; operate AWS-based infrastructure.
• Lead technical roadmaps, mentor engineers, and drive secure, compliant systems.
