Essentia, part of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, seeks an accomplished Patient Transport Services Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services across the Trust’s estate. The role covers assessment, patient liaison, planning and control, transport management, secure mental health transport and inter-site transfers.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership in patient transport, logistics, operational or healthcare support services.
• Experience with performance improvement, change delivery, operational resilience and regulated environments.
• Commercial and systems capability: budgets, in-house/contracted services, data and MI to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day delivery of Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services across the Trust’s estate.
• Oversee in-house and contracted services including assessment, patient liaison, planning and control, transport management, and inter-site transfers.
• Drive safe, efficient and high-performing services with focus on patient experience and statutory compliance.
