HCA Healthcare UK in London is seeking a senior Patient Access Manager to lead hospital-based Patient Access teams. You will drive service excellence, revenue cycle performance, and a world-class patient journey while engaging with patients, clinicians, insurers and senior leaders.

The role demands strategic leadership, budget oversight, regulatory compliance, and the ability to develop high‑performing teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Significant senior management experience within healthcare or complex service environments.
• Proven ability to lead operational teams and manage people through change and growth.
• Experience working with patients, customers or the public in a highly service-focused setting.
• Track record of managing budgets, performance metrics and service delivery outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder management including engagement with senior leaders and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of all Patient Access services.
• Lead and develop Patient Access Leaders and wider teams, driving engagement, performance and succession planning.
• Deliver an outstanding patient experience through a seamless patient journey and exceptional customer service standards.
• Manage complex and escalated patient, consultant and stakeholder concerns with timely resolutions.
• Build strong relationships with patients, consultants, insurers, hospital leaders and corporate teams.
• Drive revenue cycle performance, ensuring accurate charging, billing, deposits and revenue capture processes.
• Monitor departmental performance against KPIs, SLAs and audits.
• Lead workforce planning to ensure appropriate staffing and service capability.
• Manage departmental budgets and expenditure effectively.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, governance, audit and financial control requirements.
• Identify opportunities for service improvement, innovation and efficiencies.
• Contribute as a key member of the Hospital Senior Management Team.
