Job summary

West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in Watford is seeking a dynamic Pathology Contracts Manager to lead the negotiation, management and monitoring of pathology and laboratory service contracts across the HWE IC partnership.

The post holder will provide commercial and financial advice to senior leaders, oversee KPIs and service level agreements, travel between Trust sites and partner organisations, and support effective system working within the NHS.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent in a senior area.
• Training in contract law and commercial negotiation.
• PM certification (PMP/PRINCE2) or equivalent project management training.
• Experience of NHS contract management and governance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pathology contracts, budgets, activity and KPIs.
• Support contract negotiations, amendments and variation processes.
• Provide commercial, financial and advisory support to senior leaders.
• Communicate across organisations and manage risk and opportunities.
