Job summary

West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust seeks an experienced Pathology Contracts Manager to lead management, negotiation and monitoring of contracts and SLAs for pathology and laboratory services across the HWE ICS partnership.

The postholder will provide contractual, financial and commercial advice to senior pathology leaders and trust management, supporting high-quality diagnostic services and collaborative system working with NHS providers and commissioners.

Qualifications

• Significant contract and performance management experience.
• Strong commercial insight and negotiating confidence across organisations.
• Ability to analyse activity, demand, capacity and financial information for planning.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pathology contracts, budgets, activity, KPIs and provider performance.
• Support contract negotiations, amendments and variation processes.
• Prepare complex contractual/financial information for senior management.
• Chair contract review meetings and maintain robust records.
