Job summary

NHS National Services Scotland in Aberdeen is seeking a Practice Educator to join the Acute Practice Education and Development team at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. The role provides senior educational support across critical care areas and supports students on placement, working with higher education to align with organisational priorities.

The post holder will report to the Lead Practice Educator, demonstrate leadership, and inspire learning in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Post-registration critical care qualification or equivalent.
• Post-graduate qualification in education, teaching and/or learning (SCQF level 11 or equivalent).
• Experience in a practice education role and facilitating learning.
• Knowledge of educational pathways in critical care.
• Ability to motivate and influence change using interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the education team and provide leadership within the Practice Education team.
• Support students on placements and collaborate with higher education institutions.
• Deliver, develop and evaluate learning using diverse teaching approaches.
