Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking a Senior Part 21J Design Engineer to support an expanding global aviation customer base. The role focuses on design and certification of modifications and repairs for aircraft, helicopters and engine nacelles.

Based mainly in Scotland or Ireland, with potential remote work, the position offers a permanent opportunity within an established aerospace design and certification organisation. You will work with CS-23/CS-25/CS-27/CS-29 standards and liaise with global teams.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering.
• Significant experience in an EASA Part 21J environment.
• Good knowledge of CS-23, CS-25, CS-27 and CS-29 requirements.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and meet strict delivery requirements.

Responsibilities

• Designing and supporting the certification of aircraft, helicopter and engine nacelle modifications and repairs.
• Working within a Part 21J Design Organisation Approval environment to deliver compliant engineering solutions.
• Collaborating with engineers and support teams to coordinate modification projects from concept to completion.
• Applying knowledge of EASA Certification Specifications (CS-23, CS-25, CS-27, CS-29).
• Supporting project delivery within time, cost and quality constraints.
• Communicating with internal teams, customers and stakeholders.
• Progressing designs through to manufacture and final modification delivery.
• Contributing to engineering improvements and development of the design organisation.
