Job summary

CAE is seeking a Part 21 Design Engineer to join our EASA Part 21J Design Department in the UK. You will produce design documents and ensure airworthiness compliance for leasing companies and airlines, reporting to a Design Team Leader.

You will liaise with CVEs, manage design-change projects, and support a broad client base with high-quality documentation, drawings, and compliance reports while working within a collaborative engineering team.

Qualifications

• Sound working knowledge of Part 21 Design.
• Knowledge of applicable EASA aviation regulations and requirements.
• Ability to effectively problem-solve, exercising sound judgment and tolerance under pressure.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to guide engineering processes through successful completion.

Responsibilities

• Ensure engineering documents comply with all applicable EASA airworthiness and environmental protection requirements.
• Compile design documentation, including accomplishment instructions, engineering drawings, compliance reports, and instructions for continued airworthiness.
• Liaise with Compliance Verification Engineers (CVEs) to support demonstration of compliance.
• Manage design-change projects from initiation through delivery.
