Job summary

Walsall Council is seeking a Principal Parking Services Officer to lead enforcement and parking operations, with experience in budgets and supervising contractors delivering parking services. The role requires a strong understanding of relevant legislation and the ability to drive improvements across the service.

The successful candidate will travel as needed and represent the council at local, regional and national levels, advising stakeholders on parking, bus lanes and moving traffic

Qualifications

• Experience in a Parking Services environment and knowledge of budgets.
• Experience attending Traffic Penalty Tribunal hearings.
• Ability to project manage and coordinate parking-related work and supervise contractors.

Responsibilities

• Willing to travel and represent the council at local, regional and national levels within the parking industry.
• Advise internal and external stakeholders on parking, bus lane and moving traffic enforcement matters.
