Merlin’s Alton Towers Resort is seeking a Senior Park Operations Manager to lead day-to-day park operations, ensuring safety, service and memorable guest experiences. You’ll coach leaders, drive engagement and continuously improve performance across the resort.

You will partner with teams to prepare for peak periods, support new openings, and respond decisively to operational challenges, while upholding Merlin’s values and health & safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience within a large-scale operational, leisure, hospitality, retail or visitor attraction environment.
• Strong experience leading and developing high-performing operational teams.
• Confident decision-maker with the ability to remain calm and effective in fast-paced environments.
• Knowledge of health, safety and compliance requirements within a customer-facing operation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the park and ensure readiness to deliver an outstanding guest experience.
• Manage incidents, escalations and safety/high service standards across the resort.
• Inspire, coach and develop operational leaders and frontline teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance and guest satisfaction, supporting key business objectives.
