Job summary

Ortus PSR Ltd. seeks an experienced Paraplanner for its Wakefield area office. You will convert client data and adviser recommendations into accurate, compliant financial planning reports, supporting advisers with technical, well-reasoned recommendations.

The role emphasizes pensions, investments and planning documentation, with no mortgage advice required. A Level 4 Diploma or equivalent is desirable, and the team offers a collaborative, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of pensions and investments.
• Experience producing suitability reports and planning documentation.
• Ability to research and compare products, funds and providers.
• Sound understanding of protection and personal tax planning.
• Knowledge of FCA requirements and UK financial planning environment.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and case-management skills.
• Confidence working with advisers, administrators and external providers.
• Collaborative, dependable and positive approach.

Responsibilities

• Prepare suitability reports and supporting documentation.
• Review clients’ pensions, investments and protection arrangements.
• Conduct product, provider and fund research.
• Analyse client circumstances and financial information.
• Support advisers with technically sound recommendations.
• Produce cash-flow projections and planning scenarios.
• Ensure recommendations meet FCA requirements and internal standards.
• Maintain complete client files and liaise with providers.
• Present complex financial information clearly to clients.
• Manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
