Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking an experienced Senior Panel Builder to join a well-established and growing team in the United Kingdom. This hands-on senior role goes beyond panel assembly, requiring strong technical expertise, the ability to work from electrical drawings and provide guidance to installation teams.

Key responsibilities include building and wiring control panels, reading schematics, testing, fault finding, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and wiring electrical control panels.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Excellent fault-finding, testing and problem-solving skills.
• Capable of working independently on complex panel builds.

Responsibilities

• Build and wire electrical control panels in line with drawings and specs.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams accurately.
• Test panels to verify wiring, function and safety.
• Perform fault finding and diagnose wiring issues, implementing fixes.
• Identify discrepancies between drawings and built panels.
• Liaise with Engineering to resolve queries and amendments.
• Provide technical support to on-site installers.
• Mentor junior team members and share best practices.
