Job summary

Trident International is assisting a client by appointing a senior Fund Controller for pan-European real estate investments. The role sits close to investment and asset management, providing financial oversight across multiple jurisdictions.

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with real estate private equity or fund-management experience, and will lead fund accounting, closes, NAV, and lender reporting in a technology-enabled finance function.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with post-qualification experience in real estate private equity or fund management.
• Strong pan-European real estate fund experience across jurisdictions.
• Experience with Luxembourg fund structures and fund accounting.
• Technical fund accounting knowledge and experience with debt, liquidity, and structures.
• Experience operating in an outsourced fund administration model.
• Ability to challenge external administrators and advisers with commercial judgement.
• Experience partnering with investment and asset management teams.
• Ownership of complex workstreams within a growing platform.
• Pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with constructive challenge.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of financial governance and control for pan-European funds.
• Oversee fund accounting, statutory and tax reporting, closes, NAV outputs.
• Manage portfolio entity accounting across multiple jurisdictions.
• Plan liquidity, cash, capital flows and distributions; oversee facilities and lender reporting.
• Lead interactions with external administrators, auditors and advisers.
• Act as finance lead on acquisitions, disposals, restructurings and refinancing.
• Collaborate with Tax, Legal, Fund Operations, Investment and Asset Management.
• Support new jurisdictions and assess financial, tax and governance implications.
• Develop scalable processes as the platform grows.
