Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for patients in line with the Hospice philosophy.
• Place quality at the centre of care using holistic needs assessment, care planning and evaluation of interventions.
• Communicate effectively with patients, relatives and MDT members with clear information and instructions.
• Co-ordinate care for a shift when designated as the nurse in charge.
• Act as fire officer for IPU and Hospice environment when senior staff are unavailable.
• Monitor stock and medication, ensuring stock is ordered and available.
