Job summary

Tapping House is seeking an experienced registered nurse to join our supportive palliative and end-of-life care team on the hospice Inpatient Unit. You will work within a multidisciplinary group, delivering person-centred care to patients and their families at some of life’s most important moments.

You will assess needs, develop plans, provide guidance, and support timely communication across services. The role offers opportunities to lead, support colleagues, and contribute to high-quality care

Qualifications

• Must be a registered nurse with valid NMC registration.
• Experience in Palliative or end-of-life care preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess and develop appropriate plans of intervention and support for patients and families.
• Provide leadership and support to colleagues to ensure patient flow and timely communication.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centred care on the hospice Inpatient Unit.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team that is responsible for delivering the highest standard of palliative care to patients and their families on the hospice Inpatient Unit. The post holder will provide leadership and support to colleagues to ensure patient flow and support decision making in patient care.
