Job summary

AGA Rangemaster Ltd in Leamington Spa is seeking an experienced Lean Process Engineer to lead the paint shop and enamel manufacturing improvements for a 12-month FTC. You will drive lean initiatives, optimise processes, manage capital projects and ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery.

Working with production, quality and external suppliers, you will establish standard work, control plans and training to embed a culture of continuous improvement across the site.

Qualifications

• Lean tools applied in operations.
• Experience facilitating cross-functional workshops.
• Hands-on knowledge of powder paint and vitreous enamel processes.
• Data capture and programming across paint/chemical controls.
• COSHH regulations and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and optimise paint and enamel processes.
• Own process routings, work instructions & control plans for high quality, repeatable output.
• Develop and act on losses, identify improvements and close actions.
• Project manage capital projects with stakeholders.
• Provide hands-on technical paint/chemical engineering support to NPI, production and quality teams.
• Establish capability programmes and improvement strategies.
• Coach teams on countermeasures and corrective actions.
• Champion go-look-see for cross-functional teams.
• Apply lean techniques (SMED, 5S and value stream mapping).
• Deliver measurable safety, quality, cost, morale and culture improvements.
• Strengthen daily management initiatives (SQDCP, Gemba, escalation).
• Develop training packages for cross-functional teams.
