Job description

We're working with an independent, performance-focused digital marketing agency looking for a talented Senior Paid Media Executive to join its growing team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in paid media who wants to develop their technical expertise, take greater ownership of campaigns and build towards a more strategic role.

The agency brings together paid media, creative strategy and data to help ambitious eCommerce and direct-to-consumer brands grow. It's a collaborative, commercially focused environment where creative and media work closely together, and where people are encouraged to challenge existing approaches, embrace new technology and continuously improve how things are done.

The Role

You'll take responsibility for the day-to-day execution and management of paid media campaigns across Meta and Google, working closely with experienced senior colleagues who will provide strategic direction and support.

This is a hands-on position covering campaign setup, budget management, optimisation, creative implementation, reporting and performance analysis.

You'll be trusted to manage your workload independently, maintain high standards of accuracy and proactively identify opportunities to improve campaign performance.

Importantly, this isn't a role where you're simply following instructions. The agency is looking for someone curious about how and why campaigns perform, comfortable interpreting data and confident contributing ideas.

You'll also have exposure to clients from an early stage, giving you the opportunity to develop your communication and commercial skills alongside your technical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, manage and optimise paid media campaigns across Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads.
  • Manage campaign budgets, monitor spend and ensure activity is pacing appropriately.
  • Upload creative assets, implement testing plans and maintain accurate campaign configurations.
  • Monitor campaign performance, identifying trends, anomalies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyse key metrics including CPA, CAC, ROAS, CTR, CPC and conversion rates.
  • Produce accurate, insightful performance reports and communicate findings clearly.
  • Work closely with creative colleagues to understand which messages, formats and approaches are driving results.
  • Maintain clean, organised account structures, ensuring naming conventions, tracking and reporting are accurate.
  • Support client communications, providing performance updates and contributing to discussions.
  • Use AI and automation tools to improve efficiency across reporting, analysis and campaign management.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce unnecessary manual work and improve ways of working.

About You

We're looking for someone who already has practical paid media experience and is ready to build on it.

You'll ideally bring:

  • Around 12–18 months or more of hands-on paid media experience, ideally gained within an agency environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Meta Ads Manager, alongside experience using Google Ads.
  • Experience setting up, managing and optimising campaigns rather than simply monitoring performance.
  • Exposure to eCommerce or direct-to-consumer advertising, ideally including Advantage+ Shopping Campaigns or Performance Max.
  • A good understanding of paid media performance metrics and how to interpret them.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly around budgets, campaign setup and data accuracy.
  • The ability to take a brief, manage your workload and deliver work accurately without constant supervision.
  • Confidence communicating with colleagues and clients.
  • A proactive, curious approach to problem-solving and campaign optimisation.
  • An interest in AI and emerging marketing technology, with some practical experience using tools such as Claude, ChatGPT or similar.

You don't need to be an AI expert or have built sophisticated automated workflows. What's important is that you're comfortable experimenting with technology, understand its potential and are keen to develop your skills. Training and guidance will be provided.

What Makes This Opportunity Different?

Creative and media work together. You'll work closely with creative specialists, understanding how different concepts, messaging and formats influence performance rather than treating creative as something that simply gets uploaded into an account.

You'll be given genuine responsibility. The team values people who can take ownership of their work, spot potential problems and recommend solutions. You'll have the freedom to contribute ideas while benefiting from experienced strategic support.

A modern approach to performance marketing. The agency embraces AI, automation and streamlined account structures, focusing on meaningful improvements rather than unnecessary complexity or repetitive manual tasks.

Early client exposure. You'll have the opportunity to build relationships with clients, develop your presentation skills and understand the commercial decisions behind campaign activity.

A clear development opportunity. This role offers a pathway towards becoming a more strategic paid media specialist, developing your capabilities across campaign planning, budget allocation, creative testing, performance forecasting and client recommendations.

The Opportunity

This would suit someone who has spent their first year or two learning the fundamentals of paid media and is now looking for an environment where they can accelerate their development.

You might currently be a Paid Media Executive, Paid Social Executive or Performance Marketing Executive, looking for broader responsibilities and more exposure to the thinking behind campaign strategy.

Above all, we're looking for someone who takes pride in executing campaigns properly, enjoys understanding what drives performance and wants to become a genuinely accomplished performance marketer.
