Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Clinical Fellow in Ophthalmology for Paediatric and Strabismus to join our busy department in Southend. The post is fixed term for 12 months and requires full GMC registration, FRCOphth or equivalent, and completed general ophthalmology training.

You will perform and supervise cataract surgery, coordinate acute paediatric and strabismus services, and contribute to on-call duties.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
• FRCOphth or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in Ophthalmology.
• Previous Paediatric Ophthalmology experience.

Responsabilités

• Perform and supervise cataract surgery.
• Coordinate acute paediatric and strabismus service.
• Coordinate all administration related to Paediatric and Strabismus outpatient and inpatient treatment.
• Participate in paediatric and strabismus clinics and theatre sessions.
