Job summary

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust seeks a part-time Specialist Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist (Band 7) for a 12-month maternity cover. The role focuses on infants to young people with feeding, swallowing and communication disorders, with opportunities to work across wards, PICU and VFSS services.

You will collaborate with families and a multidisciplinary team, providing advanced assessments and individualised plans while supporting service development and supervision of junior

Qualifications

• State registration with the Health Professions Council.
• Degree (or equivalent) in Speech and Language Therapy.
• Evidence of CPD through maintenance of a portfolio.
• Clinical Educators course or equivalent.
• Membership of professional special interest groups relevant to specialty.
• Management skills or leadership training.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced assessments and deliver individualised management plans for paediatric patients.
• Lead on therapeutic diagnoses and manage a caseload of complex patients.
• Supervise junior staff and support across sites within WLCH.
• Contribute to planning, coordination, development and evaluation of the service.
• Provide multidisciplinary teaching to staff, parents and carers.
