Sirona care & health is recruiting for a Speech & Language Therapist specialising in complex needs and dysphagia (including ABI) to cover children aged 0-18 across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team, managing a caseload in the community and hospital-linked settings.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with complex needs
• Experience in paediatric dysphagia
• Experience of line management
• Experience as a Children's Therapist with significant experience of working in a community setting
• Ability to implement treatment of children and young people with highly complex developmental, neurological and/or sensory conditions
• Experience working with children with ABI
• Experience of working with children/ young people who require adapted / alternative methods of communication (e.g. Makaton)
• HCPC Registration
• Degree level qualifications recognised by RCSLT

Responsabilités

• Highly specialist clinical practitioner providing support, supervision, teaching, advice and consultation across BNSSG.
• Triage new referrals to the team alongside other band 7 practitioners, according to agreed referral criteria.
• Line manage junior colleagues
• Independently manage the small ABI caseload across BNSSG, liaising with the hospital neurorehabilitation team as required.
