Job summary

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Specialist Paediatric Orthoptist to join the Ophthalmology service in London. The post holder will assess and treat children and adults using advanced clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice.

You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, assist the head orthoptist with department administration and perform automated visual field testing, with opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Orthoptics and HCPC registration required.
• 2 years of orthoptics experience and CPD evidence expected.
• Experience in clinical audits and teaching BIOS students considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out orthoptic assessments and treatment for adults and children.
• Use specialist skills to diagnose and treat conditions with evidence-based practice.
• Perform automated visual field testing and assist with department administration.
