Job summary

Whittington Health NHS Trust is seeking a dynamic Occupational Therapist to join the Islington Additional Needs and Disability Team. The post supports children in Richard Cloudesley School and mainstream settings, delivering highly specialist OT assessments, therapy, and equipment provision.

You will work across school and clinic environments, coordinating with families and professionals to implement EHCPs and promote participation and independence in learning activities.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy and current HCPC Registration.
• Specialist training in areas such as upper limb rehabilitation, splinting, postural management, OT CPIP, CO‑OP or OPC.
• Experience in paediatric occupational therapy practice.

Responsibilities

• Manage a highly specialist caseload of children and young people with physical disabilities and neurodevelopmental conditions.
• Undertake comprehensive occupational therapy assessments across clinic, school, home and community settings.
• Assess impact of factors on participation, independence and occupational performance.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans with clear goals.
• Provide supervision and training for parents and professionals; liaise with schools to plan EHCP targets.
• Deliver OT provision within EHCPs and partner with education teams.
