Job summary

Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Paediatric Physiotherapist to lead the neurodevelopmental service with a focus on cardio-respiratory health. The role supports PICU to ward-based care and involves education of the MDT, along with ongoing professional development.

The post is a 9-month fixed term, suitable for a Band 6/7 level physiotherapist looking to expand neurodevelopmental expertise in the paediatric population.

Qualifications

• Equivalent or equal to a degree in Physiotherapy.
• HCPC registration is required.
• Member of CSP and/or a relevant special interest group.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the neurodevelopmental physiotherapy service alongside the Clinical Specialists in Paediatric Respiratory Physiotherapy.
• Manage a caseload of paediatric patients with complex cardiorespiratory conditions across PICU, HDU and wards.
• Provide education and supervise junior staff and students within a multidisciplinary team.
• Use outcome measures to set patient goals and evaluate progress.
• Support CPD and staff development, and engage in quality improvement projects.
