Qualifications

• NMC registration as a children's nurse.
• First Degree.
• Teaching and assessing in clinical practice or equivalent.
• APLS/EPLS provider or equivalent.
• Significant recent experience in children's emergency nursing.
• Be proficient in fundamental CED skills.
• Additional qualifications in teaching or education.
• Children's ED course or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical care in the Children's ED with decision-making support for junior colleagues.
• Lead shifts with support from Band 7 nurses.
• Ensure safe and efficient environment while meeting KPIs and national targets.
• Display professional leadership and support to nursing and CED teams.
• Attend paediatric trauma calls with medical colleagues and advocate for children in adult settings.
