Job summary

The Royal Alexandra Children\'s Hospital in Brighton seeks an experienced Paediatric senior nurse for the busy Children\'s Emergency Department. You will lead nursing colleagues, set care standards for children and families, and work with Band 7 nurses and ED consultants in a supportive multidisciplinary team.

The role requires shift work, including nights and weekends, with leadership duties throughout the year.

Qualifications

• NMC registration and a nursing degree are essential.
• Post-registration study in paediatrics preferred.
• APLS/EPLS provider status advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and evaluate care programs for children in ED.
• Lead nursing colleagues and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Act as clinical leader and role model for patient care and governance.
• Manage shift-led patient flow and discharge planning.
