Job summary

The Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust seeks an expert clinical scrub practitioner for the Burns and Plastics Trauma Theatre at Birmingham Children's Hospital. The post holder will ensure high standards of clinical care, provide direction and intervention, and support junior staff within a busy paediatric burns and plastics environment.

They will contribute to audits, governance, and continuous improvement, while maintaining safety in peri-operative care and collaborating

Qualifications

• Expert clinical scrub practitioner with burns and paediatric plastics experience.
• Ability to supervise and develop theatre staff and students.
• Commitment to audits, assessments, reviews and governance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction, advice and intervention in Burns and Plastics Theatre.
• Ensure high standards of peri-operative care and patient experience.
• Support junior team members and contribute to staff development.
• Participate in Out of Hours, weekend shifts and on-call duties as required.
