Job summary

Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust in the community is seeking an experienced Paediatric Audiologist to join the Paediatric Audiology Assessment Service. The role involves delivering diagnostic hearing assessments for children and coordinating clinics across community sites in Leicester, with travel required.

The successful candidate will have a BSc in Audiology, postgraduate paediatric assessment experience, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• BSc in Audiology or equivalent qualification.
• Recent postgraduate experience in paediatric hearing assessment.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead diagnostic clinics and assess hearing of children and young people aged 6 months to 19 years using specialist behavioural techniques and advanced tests of middle ear function.
• Work autonomously following national and local protocols and be accountable for all aspects of own work, including patient management.
• Lead review clinics for children with confirmed hearing loss or risk factors and make outcome decisions for referrals/monitoring.
• Demonstrate highly specialist paediatric skills with very young children or those with complex needs or challenging behaviour.
• Participate in audit and research projects to advance clinical practice.
• Maintain accurate electronic records including audiological assessments and onward referrals in line with standards and policy.
