Job summary

Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Paediatric Audiologist to join the Community Paediatric Audiology Assessment Service in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. The role involves travel to clinics, delivering diagnostic hearing assessments for children from 6 months to 19 years, and working within a busy, supportive team.

Qualifications

• BSc in Audiology or equivalent qualification.
• Recent postgraduate experience in paediatric hearing assessment.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Access to own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Lead diagnostic clinics and assess hearing of children and young people (6 months to 19 years) using specialist behavioural techniques and advanced middle-ear tests.
• Work autonomously following national and local protocols; remain clinically and legally accountable for care.
• Lead review clinics for children with confirmed hearing loss or risk factors; decide on referrals and monitoring.
• Demonstrate highly specialist paediatric skills with very young children or those with complex needs or challenging behaviour.
• Participate in audit and research projects to improve clinical practice.
• Maintain accurate electronic records including audiological assessments and referrals.
