Job summary

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is inviting two Consultant Paediatric Anaesthetists to join a dynamic anaesthetic department. Each post comprises 10 PA per week (8.0 Direct Clinical Care + 2.0 SPA) with fixed sub-specialty sessions and annualised flexible sessions across a range of surgical specialties.

The appointees will work autonomously in their field, collaborate with consultants to deliver elective and emergency services, and align with the agreed Job Plan.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register: CCT holder or expected within 6 months of interview or CESR holder.
• ALS Provider or equivalent.
• Higher professional qualification.

Responsibilities

• Autonomously manage patients in their field of expertise.
• Provide comprehensive elective and emergency anaesthetic services with consultants.
• Contribute to and manage the agreed Job Plan and DCC/SPA sessions.
• May be asked to provide sessions on either campus as required by the service.
• Participation in teaching, audit, and research activities.
