Job summary

Primark is seeking a talented Packaging Designer to join its in-house design team. You will lead packaging projects from briefs through final print, crafting original designs that reinforce the Primark brand across categories.

With at least five years’ packaging design experience and a strong portfolio, you will excel in typography, visualisation, and print production. Hybrid working and a dynamic fashion retail atmosphere await.

Qualifications

• Hold a degree in Design with minimum five years packaging design experience.
• Strong portfolio showing packaging design work.
• Meticulous attention to detail with high-quality design standards.
• Excellent typography with iconography and visualization skills.
• Advanced Adobe Creative Suite proficiency (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative studio.
• Highly organised with planning, prioritisation and multitasking.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in fashion retail is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging packaging solutions that strengthen the Primark brand and improve in-store experience.
• Lead packaging projects end-to-end from briefs to final print production.
• Develop original packaging designs including logos, illustrations, and brand elements.
• Ensure designs align with brand guidelines across product categories.
• Bring fresh thinking and innovative solutions to diverse briefs.
• Manage multiple packaging projects and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrate knowledge of print production processes and specs.
• Collaborate with Buying teams and stakeholders for timely briefs.
• Work with Packaging Design Manager to develop high-quality solutions.
• Build strong relationships with designers, brand teams and packaging coordinators.
