Job summary

SGX Graphics, based in Hull, is seeking a Senior Production Artist to join our packaging artwork team. You will build and prepare artwork files that meet brand, market and regulatory requirements, ensuring technical accuracy and print readiness.

In a fast-paced, collaborative environment you will apply your Illustrator, Esko and Hybrid workflows, conduct quality checks, and deliver print-ready artwork on time while maintaining high standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in packaging artwork or similar senior production role.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
• Strong working knowledge of Esko and Hybrid workflows in packaging artwork.
• Excellent understanding of reprographics and print production requirements.
• Experience preparing files for a variety of print processes and substrates.
• Knowledge of packaging artwork standards, colour management and quality control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Create and amend high-quality packaging artwork files using industry-standard software
• Prepare artwork for print using reprographic and prepress techniques
• Apply technical knowledge across multiple print processes, including flexo, gravure, offset and digital
• Ensure artwork complies with brand guidelines, printer specifications and regulatory requirements
• Conduct thorough quality checks to maintain high standards and minimize errors
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines and SLAs
• Collaborate with artwork and project management teams and mentor juniors
